Postcards come in a variety of sizes. Typically, standard postcard sizes offer the most room for one large image, a call to action, and more details. They are ideal for products and services that need to be detailed. They can be used to share a specific message to a large number of people, but can be a bit expensive to print.

Using a larger postcard will allow you to include a longer message or a large photo, but you will need to include an additional stamp. You may want to consider a smaller postcard if you want to save money. Standard postcard sizes are based on the USPS's guidelines and are the same for letter-sized mail, too.

A6 postcards are standard, but you can use smaller postcards if you prefer. If you want to send an A5 or A6 postcard, you should send it to a designer with bleed and trim measurements. The bleed is the area of the postcard that extends beyond the margin of the page. This area can be used to cut off the white margin.

Postcards have become popular direct mail tools and have been around almost as long as the postal service. Although they come in a variety of sizes and shapes, the most common postcard sizes are 4" x 6" and 11" x 6". Regardless of your purpose, you can choose a size that is right for you.
