If you want to build a website that integrates Postal Service services, you should take advantage of the U.S. Postal API. This API allows ecommerce companies to provide customers with tracking information for their orders shipped by the Postal Service. Using this API, they can retrieve and display information about the shipment, and even display a map of where it's been shipped.

The USPS Web Interface is free and allows you to validate an address. It also alerts you when an address is invalid. While this is a great tool for small-scale projects, it has limitations. You can only validate a single address at a time, and it won't give you a full address history. You might want to find a more robust solution.

The Postal Service offers 34 external APIs for customers. Last year, these APIs processed 46.4 billion requests. Today, more than 70,000 customers can access these APIs and use them to automate mail and other services. The key is to manage and configure these APIs according to industry standards and best practices.

A postal API allows government entities to share data and tap into the developer community to improve customer-facing applications. It also helps the national postal service innovate.
